Tricked Out Todo User Guide

Welcome to Tricked Out Todo. This guide walks through every feature.

Getting Started

  1. Navigate to the Todos page from the main navigation.
  2. Click the New Todo button.
  3. Fill in the title (required) and description (optional).
  4. Set a due date if needed.
  5. Choose priority: Urgent or General.
  6. Optionally assign it as a sub-task of another todo.
  7. Click Create Todo.

Managing Todos

Todos support parent and child tasks, with priority levels for urgency.

Todo Actions

  • Complete: Click the checkbox to mark as done.
  • Edit: Use the edit button to update details.
  • Delete: Remove todos (also deletes child todos).
  • Timer: Start a focused work session on any todo.

Create sub-tasks by selecting a parent todo when creating a new todo. Child todos appear indented under their parent and can be expanded or collapsed.

Calendar View

  1. Click Calendar in the navigation.
  2. Select a date to view todos due that day.
  3. Dates with todos show visual indicators.
  4. Add todos directly from the selected date.
  • Month navigation with previous/next controls.
  • Today is highlighted for quick access.
  • Urgent todos use distinct color indicators.

Timer System

  1. Open the Start dropdown in the header.
  2. Select any active todo to time.
  3. The timer begins tracking your session.
  • Pause or resume your session.
  • Stop to end the current timer.
  • Restart to reset the timer.

Scratch Pad

  1. Click the document icon in the header.
  2. Write notes, ideas, or quick thoughts.
  3. Content auto-saves as you type.
  4. Close when done; content persists.

Filtering and Searching

Filter Options

  • Status: All, Active, Completed
  • Priority: All, Urgent, General
  • Search: Filter by title or description

Sort Options

  • Date: Sort by due date
  • Priority: Urgent todos first
  • Alphabetical: Sort by title
  • Created: Sort by creation date

Profile Management

  • View your profile information.
  • Manage email preferences.
  • Configure timer duration defaults.
  • Access security settings.
